Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
