Missing star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding win that all but guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another three points in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight passage to the last 16, particularly following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Opportunity
This occasion provided a chance for several Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a clinical finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, finding the net for the second game in match.

The contest was effectively over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of comically weak challenges before calmly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
